Firefox crashing issue

My firefox has picked up an annoying habbit - most iGoogle searches crash it.

I have disabled addons, still happens.
A new profile fixes it though.

Anyone got any ideas?

Otherwise, anyone know how can i selectively transfer bits of my old profile into a new one, eg preferences, passwords, bookmarks etc?

Bookmarks are easy, there's options in the bookmark organiser for that.

There's an addon for exporting passwords.

For other stuff, you could try mozbackup, and pick the bits you want there, but it's not super detailed.

Passwords are stored in signons*.sqlite (or possibly .txt) and key3.db. Get a backup of your bookmarks from /bookmarkbackups- it's better to Restore from a json than try to import a bookmarks.html, which may be incomplete and won't set up folders correctly.
You're better off not porting preferences (prefs.js), since that's probably what fucked it. Some extensions allow you to import/export settings, so look around their options. FireGesture settings are stored in firegestures.sqlite.

Spend a while getting it how you like it, then backup your profile.

Once it's sorted, load up Xmarks so it's all nice and backed up for you.
