Hehe, that guy is probably richer than most alliances now, he could buy alot of outposts with that money.

What happened to Shadow is some one shouted in local that he's leaving eve and the first person to dock gets 1 bil isk. Shadow managed it and got 920mil and it turns out the money was earned through eve time code scamming. So basically I think the guy who gave him the ISK has been offering to sell eve time codes for ISK but not actually sending them to his customers. When Shadow got the money they must've thought he had something to do with it so he's been banned for 30 days.

Apart from the fact it's the currency in another computer game (The Sims) neither do I.

Perhaps it was an attempt to equate ISK with a "currency" its readers would be more accustomed to, or a rather poor attempt at a joke revolving around the general theme of the article: that all in-game "monies" are the same, and effectively valueless regardless of the time spent earning it, except that it then contradicts itself by saying it could be worth money in the real world.

Because actually real money in the real world is the only thing anyone could possibly ascribe any value too, right? What a "twat" the author is.

if they changed my skills for me to cruiser 5 then i proberly wouldnt but are they going to change it? i dont think so

i have havoc to play with but shadow has all my isk and over a bil in assets so im pretty much finished narf . i had nothing to do with this scam and ccp can sort it out easy coz they have and the logs and stuff but they wont do it quick enough so ill lose training time and thats not happening...
ive sent them e-mails about 5 petition's and i have sent them the chat logs and they still aint put my account on

Would it help if we all petitioned it? Or would that just overload them more and result in delayed response to Shadow's petitions. He is a corp member, and having him banned does affect the corp after all.

And besides, Shadow's been giving me my time codes on time, so I don't really look at it as a scam.

The OP from CCP did say 'pending investigation'. If I were you, don't badger them too much as this will only piss them off further. Give it a few days and they should realise it has nothing to do with you. Sure, they'll probably take the isk back but you'll be no worse off from when this originally happened.

I really dont want to quit but if they ban me for 30days my training will be borked badly! in fact i dont think it would be 30days anyway coz they will proberly sort it in the next week or so.. i just dont want to miss out on the game that i love if you know what i mean! shadow is a big part of what i do and need him to live with in eve properly, ok i have havoc but havoc has no isk... shadow has it all

Lets just hope ccp get there act together and sort this quick time or ill have to gank the GMs haha

Two points:

1) It was 500 billion, not 780billion. The corp (EIB) was worth that, but they were a bank, so there were loans etc out. Still, 500 billion isk. It puts the GHSC scam to utter shame (that was only 25 billion).

2) Just relax about it shadow. If you find you need isk and CCP don't reduce the ban, I'll loan it to you. Fecking loaded myself atm.
