They graffitid the wiki I take it? Kind of grey hat I suppose.

Defacing a wiki is hardly the work of a mastermind and creating pages which you cannot delete doesn't show much foresight.

While it might be a clever idea, they're stealing a small amount of disk space and bandwidth paid for by the sites they've targeted. It sounds like they got a bollocking from their University already, but they could face a class action depending which and how many sites they hit.
