That's quite tempting, but with parts of my computer making fizzing noises it can't come at a worse time.

I am insanely tempted, does argos deliver to the mainland?

Doesn't look like it.
We can deliver anywhere in the UK and Northern Ireland but are unable to deliver to the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Orkney and Shetland Islands.
Don't try very hard do they?

if it's really that cheap, get it shipped to a 5punker and ship it on?
or order one for brumbash

looks like I won't find it anywhere cheaper, so if anyone is feeling like it?
Alternatively Grimbash would be great.

Sure, can sort it for you if you like.
Can leave it here in kings cross and pick it up on the way back to eurostar if thats any help?

I'm a bit pre-occupied at the moment but I'll contact you with details as soon as I can.
And cheers Prof!

I thought you were poor johnson!
Also, does you need a voltage converter for forren lands? And a different plug?

continent uses 230v, only slightly infirior to our 240v, and not enough of a difference for electricals to notice.
He'd just need a 2 pin version of the adapter cable or an 3pin-2pin adapter.

I went and read up on this because of science. The way I saw it was we'd dropped to 230v and the continent had upped it to 230v for harmonisation purposes.
But the reality is that it would have cost too much so they changed the +/- percentiles that were allowed. Ours is anywhere between 216 and 253v and the continent is anywhere between 207v and 242v. All they've done is horse manufacturers to create greater tolerances in their products.
So it's just the plug.

Ahh, didn't take that in account, so thanks for telling me.
But I've still got two or three UK-Europe converters lying around so it's all good.
Also yes I'm poor but it's hard to pass up a chance like this. I'll just have to go easy on buying games for a month or so.

The nominal voltage in the UK has been officially changed to 230 Volts - so we're all the same now.

Actually, racking my brains i think we used to have 250v and the continent used to use 220v.
Seems we have gone down and they have gone up to meet at 230v?
Either way, fecking eurofacists forcing their voltages, rules and jobseekers on us. /daily mail rant.

Only the very first 60GB PS3s had any sort of PS2 compatibility, and they've long since stopped making them.
I noticed Tesco are doing the 80GB model with a rumbly dual-shock 3 controller and LBP for £293, which isn't much more if you would have bought those anyway. I filled up the 40GB disk on mine pretty quickly.

I'm probably not going to use it very often, It's more for PS3 and console exclusive titles.
