Steak knives.

Since this doesn't really belong anywhere, I thought I'd post it here.
Right, so the steak knives we have at the moment are very, very blunt.
So we need new ones, they don't have to be super-top-ultra-never-go-blunt quality but something that will last and is good. Any of you know anything about that?
also, if you feel it should be in general or something, please feel free to move it.

I don't use steak knives, standard slightly serrated food knives are more than enough for any steak I'll eat.
IMO, if you need a saw, it's not worth eating.

Well, I'm not the cook in the house, and my dad tends to burn things, so here steak knives are required (that's why they all broke in the first place...)

Well it's only in the right place if you look for it under the name "SPU" (Steak Processing Unit).

You want to eat beef with a 12" machete like
this?
I don't think I've ever seen quality name steak knives, mostly because the chefs who help design them probably refuse to because they're snobbish about the food. (like I am)
I'd just bulk buy a big box of shitty ones and sling them out regularly if you really need them, better to tell your dad to learn to cook though.

ironically, he always cooks his steaks right, but everything else burns in his pan of ultimate death.
Anyway, I was thinking to give it to my mum and dad as a gift, since they always seem to buy crap for some reason, but I guess you can't do much wrong with steak knives.

They kind of are super over the top knives but I have a Henckel knife set, They are freakin awesome.. never go blunt. I know they sell them on amazon. Kinda spensive but if you want quality that lasts... do it
I was lucky enough to get a 12 peice set as a gift a few years ago...

Victorinox are the shiz IMHO. We've fallen in love with them in this household.
Maybe something more like
these babies would be more suitable.
