Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars (DS)
By no means the first GTA on a Nintendo portable, but the first time Rockstar has made a real effort to make it work.

Ready 2 Rumble: Revolution (Wii)
The old Dreamcast boxing game returns with new waggle-based controls.

Resistance: Retribution (PSP)
Sony tries to keep its desperately uninteresting shooter franchise going with this third person portable effort.

MadWorld (Wii)
Its imperfections may be maddening but PlatinumGames' first release is still a refreshingly bloody Daily Mail baiter.

SingStar: Queen (PS2/PS3)
A Guitar Hero special would've been better, but we doubt fans will mind.

WWE Legends Of Wrestlemania (360/PS3)
Have THQ remind you how old you are via the medium of wrestling, with a new game featuring Hulk Hogan and co.

Broken Sword: Director's Cut (Wii/DS)

The classic graphic adventure returns with a brand new Nintendo makeover. LucasArts, are you taking notes?

Castlevania: Judgement (Wii)

Not the usual action platformer affair, but instead a one-on-one beat 'em-up.

Henry Hatsworth/Puzzling Adventure (DS)

It sounds like a Professor Layton clone but this seems a fun mix of puzzle game and platformer.

Tempted by MadWorld. Might wait for the inevitable price drop.

Third-person kill-everyone-in-sight-'em-up, I think. Sin City stylings, dark humour, copious amounts of blood.
Made by the guys from Clover Studio, who made Okami (I am therefore obliged to at least try it).

I was going to compare it to Okami without realising they made that too, in that it looks very stylised and artistic, but you can't always see what's going on.

Hmm, Broken Sword for the Wii is tempting to get as one of my brother's birthday prezzies.

More chance of him playing an adventure game, and point and click is a good way to use the Wii mote.

On that note, RTS games could be excellent on the Wii.
