Earthquake Appeal

My sister Jo-Anne Wau lives on the Indonesian Island of Nias, she married a local guy there in Oct. The island is off the north-west coast of Sumatra and was close to the epi-centre of the earthquake. Fortunately no-one in her village was severely injured or killed but much of it has been wiped out. Our local paper the Sheffield Star, together with St. Thomas' church in Sheffield (a registered charity) is running a campaign to raise funds to help rebuild the community of Sorake Beach:

You may have donated to the main appeal, or wonder why donate to a small campaign, but with a targeted donation to an appeal such as this you will know that your money is helping provide food, water and clothing in the short term and to rebuild a small village, left with almost nothing, in the long term.
If you do decide to make a donation, you can use this Gift Aid form so the tax can be claimed back on the donation:

Or you can donate to the main appeal at the Disasters Emergency Committee here:

Thanks.
