Anyone else have problems getting this to work from steam?
Just doesn't seem to want to start up at all on my machine, I get the option of do I want to play a solo or multi player game, select either and then the window goes away and nothig happens at all.

Weird, done the usual stuff?

Verify files in steam, make sure your AV isn't eating them etc.


Also, does it appear in the processes list? could just take ages to start.

yup, yup, nope.
Dunno whats going on with it, deleted the local content and trying again.

Weird.

I'm guessing this is just a steam-packaged version of the normal install.
See if you can find out about the videos- they stopped some people starting the game (Gunslinger included, I think).

I do believe I read xfire and steam version cod:waw don't get on sometimes.

Also the problem with the resolution changing on it's own and breaking stuff - I think that's still floating around like a bubble turd in the porcelain.

I'll try it without x-fire when I get in, cheers.

I just noticed you hadn't said whether you tried it yet Mikkyo. Did it work without xfire?

It had another patch recently. That might sort it.
