That "Dead Rising 2" videofrom last week, that kinda looked like it could have been Dead Rising 2? It was totally Dead Rising 2. Capcom has officially announced the title not just for Xbox 360, but for PS3 and PC as well! The sequel occurs years after the events of the first game -- with the zombie virus now spread throughout the United States. The action will take place in the "gambling paradise of Fortune City". The main character is apparently no longer Frank West, but some guy in a jacket instead. Of course, Fortune City is filled with new junk with which to smash zombies, including, most importantly, that hamster ball/Atlaspherething from the video!

As rumored, the game is being developed by Canada's Blue Castle Games. According to the press release, "A number of members from the original Dead Rising team will be working alongside Blue Castle Games throughout the development process," including producer Keiji Inafune.

Ahh, i look forward to running zombies over with a lawnmower.
I do however, not look forward to the inevitably retarded storyline capcom will attach to it.

Seem to recall having lots of spazzy fun with the demo of this on jocks xbrick at a grimbash. I didn't notice any story in the first one, but I was mainly finding new ways to fuck the zeds up whilst chortling about it.

I'll keep half an eye on this, could be fun for a bit of multi-player cricket bat to the sound of queen fun.

The first game is basically free roaming, but you had an in-game clock, and some missions had to be achieved before a certain hour,
which meant that since you had to plough through massive hordes of zombies, you couldn't get from point A to point B very fast.
Now, you can choose to not do these missions and just dick about, but some things (like cars) can only be unlocked by doing said missions,
and because the clock cannot be turned back, you usually have about 30 in-game minutes to do something (unless you want to focus on the story and not fuck up obscene amounts of zombies, but who in their right mind would want to do such a thing?)

Might be looking this up. If it does stupid things like putting timers on then I'll just cheat. I only want to mess about with zombies. Multiplayer for PC?
