I'm utterly clueless on this, but i'm sure some fucker is bored enough to work it out.

Pfffft. I haven't made a map since Duke Nukem 3D, and if anyone's bored enough to do it it would surely be you ;)

I can already work hammer and the bf2 mapping app.

i fear adding another map editor into my brain will erase useful stuff. :)

unfortunately, there's no call of duty map decompiling app i can find, which makes it less easy to port our old faves across (they'd need to be remade)

I'm having a problem compiling stuff. I open the compiler, select the map and hit compile but it doesn't seem to do anything.

Now it says "errorz, blah blah d3something.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this". I've tried re-installing and I still get the same error. I think I give up with cod mapping :shakefist:

Historically compilers needed PATH or other environment variable settings to "know" where things like d3something.dll were. Try running the compiler from a command prompt within it's directory or having a look through INI files for game locations, etc.

Or give up.
