Seeing as we've not done this yet...
edit: use
if you have some mutant bastard multi-finger method.

I've gone for fast two-finger, but I really type using fast three-finger, and there was no option for that!

Personally, I learned to touch type by accident, it just happened.
Used to 2 finger type at least as fast as I touch type.

I actually thrash my hands, claw-like, at the keyboard. I know where all the keys are, I just have difficulty hitting them sometimes. I use more than two fingers, but I'm by no means a touch typist.

same here really, it's not touch typing classic, but it's damn near close enough.

I tend to swap between accidently touch typing and and looking at the keyboard. Tend to touch type more when I'm properly awake and look when I'm tired. Didn't learn it from a program either.

I put two fingers, althought I use all four. I do have to look at the keyboard though, although it's only really to orient myself now as I reflectively know where the keys are. If I don't look i juse enf typ witn fibbnerisjn. See!

i can reasonably touch type but it only ever happens by accident, normally when im looking at an xfire meassage or the like but generally i use 4 mutant fingers (and look at the board)

I tried those Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing things a while ago, but I couldn't be arsed. I really didn't learn much, I still look at the keyboard way too much.
I'm mostly self-taught though.

Can one "naturally" type?
Regardless, I simply swim with my hands over an alphabet ocean.

I use both hands and just sort of use whichever of my index and middle fingers are the nearest. I have to look at the keyboard. It's slightly quicker on average than just two fingers, as depending on the words I can sometimes type three or four characters very quickly. I usually choose passwords which fit well with my method, like yatta or midori where I can be typing with the left hand while relocating the right hand on the next two letters.
I went to touch-typing lessons at college when I was about 15, but the teacher told me to simply continue with my existing method as it was easily fast enough to pass the exam.

I probably haven't looked at a keyboard in years. Although that said it took a little while to get used to a laptop keyboard, but still I just don't look at keyboard, I guess I spend too long on Instant messengers and things like that. Oh and Web-coding makes you have to type with all your fingers, especially when you're getting triangley brackets in etc. Just use computers lots, and learn to type fast with practically all of your fingers.
