And a quick one from me too. While we really will be digging into the whole UK/US/EU pricing thing in the new year, that can wait until after Steam's new year sale.Basically, it's up to 75% savings off a mass of games. It's on until January 2nd, so I suspect I'll go through picking out the best bargains before then, but the first thing which sprang to my eye was Trials 2 - one of our 12 Christmas games - available for a mere two dollars fifty - or a quid fifty in the UK.

Honestly, at that price it becomes worthwhile just for the comic possibilites of engineering bone-breaking collisions with your rider. Go get!

EDIT: And until we do it, Savygamer runs down their fave bargains.Related stories: Posted by KieronGillen. |

Well I got to the Spring Jump level in Trials 2 (that's the tutorial), and gave up after about 30 attempts in a row that ended in me smashing my face in.

I managed to get past the tutorials, but not before managing to have a physics spazz-out with the bike upside down stuck inside things (but not knocking off the rider)

I got stuck on a map with a loop-de-loop, crossing the loop wasn't a problem, but when I came out of it I kept bashing my face against the board above the exit, there doesn't seem to be a way to avoid that.

If you sit right back (or forward, one or the other) you crouch lower.

I know, but even that wasn't very helpful, I managed to do it right in the end, but it was sheer luck.

I did the level I was stuck on by fluke, and it lied - you don't need to know how to do that in the game. Since then I've flown past the one MJ was stuck on (again, mostly by luck), and pulled off some outrageously lucky manoeuvres involving mulitple backflips, endos and crossing the finish line sliding along on my handlebars.

Perseverence is the key which opens up some hilariously lucky stunts, I think.

Maybe I'm being grumpy but I just find it annoying and crap. I can't be bothered with it. Maybe if the controls were better...

X-COM however is very good.

I've fluked my way through a bunch of levels as well, spinning wildly and crunching face first into the next check points which apparently triggers it

but it makes my fingers hurt D:
