Well, I like that they've finally got around to introducing gambit.

The film is weapon x in its infancy, the face mess arrives after they stick him with wolverines healing powers and it gets all messed up with cancer, can't remember why the cancer. Joose and that new fella the shutting downs I think have a better idea. I would say wiki it, but there's so many stories running it all gets a bit silly.spoodie wrote: Oh right. Not as ugly and deformed unmasked as his reputation suggests. I guess that's something reserved for the film; pretty boy Reynolds gets his face messed up.
I thought it was they gave him wolverine's healing power to cure his cancer, which worked but then made him all ugly?HereComesPete wrote:

They gave him Wolverine's healing thingy, it interacted with his cancer and scarred his entire body. Furthermore, the healing factor didn't even work initially. He was put in some sort hospital for failed projects where the doctor in charge made the inmates fight each other to the death (and called it the 'Deadpool'). He had a vision of death as some sort of sexy lady, so he became determined to die so he could be with her - however the act of dying forced the healing factor to kick start. It's also presumed the healing factor only works in conjunction with his cancer, and it's also the reason he's insane.
Also he can't actually die - some bloke got jealous of Death's crush on him, so he cursed him with eternal life (lol).
Along with Gambit and Nightcrawler, Deadpool is one of my all time favourites.

That happened to me once. Fucking NHS, I sued the shit out of them but it turned out they've got no money.Roman Totale wrote:They gave him Wolverine's healing thingy, it interacted with his cancer and scarred his entire body.
