Black Holes...no worries!

I thought Friz was joking about this when he first told me...but here it goes...The End of The World....tomorrow!
Will the Large Hadron Collider save the world, or destroy it?
As the atom-smasher at Europe's CERN research center is readied for its official startup on Wednesday, researchers might wish that the general public was captivated by the quest for the Higgs boson, the search for supersymmetric particles and even the evidence for extra dimensions.
But if the feedback so far is any guide, the real headline-grabber is the claim that the world's most powerful particle-smasher could create microscopic black holes that some fear would gobble up the planet.

Don't worry about the black hole thing, they have atomic Polyfilla that'll sort that right out.

Not proton smashing tomorrow, just a test run... No black hole, sorry!

Wiki says that proper proton smashing will occur in October, test results depending I suspect.
Tomorrow is just another test. Around the whole ring this time.

If anyone actually thinks this thing is going to destroy anything they're just retarded. It's not going to make any black holes big enough to affect anything except maybe the sensors built to detect them. The mass of the particles inside it don't have enough mass to attract anything really.

Plus the fact that black holes / strangelets are theories. If there were any chance of the LHC creating a black hole we would have already seen some being formed from the estimated 3.10x1013 LHC programmes (that's the entire amount of crashing over the 20+ years that the LHC will be running) per second in the universe today.

Never let the truth get in the way of a good story! Black holes selectively wiping out all the chavs South East England created by the biggest ring since goatse!
And ffs Killa, you bloody critters keep wiping out my colonies

"
It's nonsense," said James Gillies, chief spokesman for CERN.
CERN was backed by leading scientists like Britain's Stephen Hawking , who declared the experiments to be absolutely safe.
So...they can blame it on you guys if anything goes wrong

Meh, only reason Hawking is famous is because he's a Flid, don't blame us for anything he said.
