Instead of upgrading my PC, I bought one of these 24" Widescreen thingamybobs

It rocks! And games like COD2 & Quake 4 look beautiful

It means I dont have 2 x19" screens now, but it takes up less room on my PC desk, and the only thing I used the second screen for was teamspeak anyway, so I'm not too bothered.
Once I move I will buy a new desk/unit so that I can put all my consoles in it as well, and play them all through the 5 different inputs :w00t:

Does this beauty have a 16ms response time?

How is it for crazy gaming?, any ghosting or whatnot? I havn't had any experience myself gaming on flat panels,

I may have an option to get a cheap 2005FPW you see, and though the reponse time wouldn't stop me getting it even if it isn't great, it would still be nice to know :likesitall:

This review sums it up quite well

Click on previous 2 pages for stats and stuff, but no, I haven't seen any ghosting.

The drawback is the card trying to run at a higher resolution, but other than that, it's ace.

Cheers dudes, I am desiring the 2005fpw a tad more now, although you have awakened within me an evil temptress of the 24" variety

<a href="http://www.autdirect.co.uk/cgi-bin/sh00 ... 1MONTFT24D" target="_blank">£450?</a>

<a href="http://accessories.euro.dell.com/sna/Pr ... sting.aspx" target="_blank">£942?</a>

 well if you take into account the full Dell retail price you'd probably end up with several hundred pounds for Bukkake, even after a 7900gtx SLI system upgrade

Oddly enough I bought the 2405 second hand off a friend for £450, so I can't really comment.

P.S. They rotate too, but why on earth you'd need a widescreen rotated to portrate I don't know.
Fantastic for viewing websites with and document writing, but that's about it.

Be careful with that anyway, if you route the power cable neatly, it can make very bad noises on rotamatings.

So after my 2005fpw plan fell through I accidentally bought the credit card busting one, oopsy!, I just sort of clicked purchase in some kind of no-widescreen-fun-for-bobbins type daze,

Although Karma is catching up with me and telling me what a bad idea it was
The Monitor People wrote:I am very sorry about this. There has been a mistake at our end which is abit embarrassing after asking you so many questions. I went to the warehouse today to ship your monitor out to you only to find that someone else had sent it out to another customer yesterday not realising it had been reserved for you.

We are expecting another delivery of Dells at the end of this week if you are on to wait till then. otherwise I can cancel the order for you if this is to late.
