I hate release dates.

Post by Dr. kitteny berk »

Of all the games (that spring to mind) that I care about, that are appearing this year, it's clear someone hates me.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky:__August 29
Spore:________________September 5
Fallout 3:______________October 3
Left 4 Dead:____________November 7
CoD 5:________________November 11

Luckily Spore and Fallout have loads of time, but CoD5 and L4D releasing about a week apart, that's fucking evil that is.

I'm just annoyed they all start coming out at the end of August/start of September - right when University starts. I've got all this free time now and nothing to play.

I hope X3: Terran Conflict comes out sooner rather than later, too. I need a decent space game now that EVE is boring me to hell.

Going into 3rd year will mean I only get roughly the first 3/4 weeks of a semester to doss around now, I'll actually have to put alot more effort in.

:above: Going into my second year now and this is the year that marks actually start counting towards my degree.

Not that I could run any of these games very well anyway, except spore. I'm still waiting on nehalem and moneys before I can get a new PC.

Not fussed about Stalker myself, never got on with the first one.

Spore will probably be massively underwhelming (and filled with penis aliens).

Fallout 3 does sound rather fucking win. I may try to avoid all future sneak peeks of the game though so it doesn't get built up too much.

Left 4 Dead will undoubtedly be awesome 5punky fun. For 2 months.

CoD 5 - you never know with CoD, it will either be awesome or shite.

Spore could go either way, I suspect meh.

You're right on L4D, I can see it becoming a reliable 11pm friday drunk game though

I'm hoping CoD5 is basically good, but just a little bit broken, then it'll be perfect

Spore is September 7.

I wouldn't get excited about CoD 5, it'll be just as shit as CoD 3.

It's treyarch but it has those flamers in and that makes me glee a little, haven't had multi-player flamers for a good long time.

They could easily break it, but I can see their inherent laziness being quite good. Graphics tweaks and new stuff, but nothing big. They want it out and selling as fast as they can.

They've been working on it for a long time (by treyarch standards) and it's not a massive leap from CoD4, so there's little to really fuck up.

Just as long as they keep the guns like CoD (not like DoD) it should be acceptable.

Stalker clear sky is now 5th September release. Same day as spore.

Thankfully I'm not that bothered about spore, but damn them all anyway.

Amazon is still saying August 29th. I wouldn't trust what retailers say about release dates, anyway, they make it up most of the time.

Game, they say UK release is 5th, probably is but the merkin one is probably the 29th still.

No doubt it'll change again, but they don't e-mail that often really, so I tend to pay it a small amount of attention when they do.
