Homeworld 2

Post by Sticky Label »

I was just looking at this game again. Is there any way I could persuade anyone to give it a decent go? It really is a pretty, well made and fun game, I promise. Once you get past the shock of having to navigate in 3D, anyway

It's not that hard I promise. Also, it's easy to get from the floor, and you can get a copy in shops for about a fiver.

I'll have a look at getting it later in the summer after I've exhausted Guildwars:Factions
I might even try the original for a bit again too, just to refresh my memory

The original might detract from it a bit, but sure, more people's always good :boogie:

Yes, yes you are

In the list of available games when you click on "Add Game" in the 5cheduler.
There aren't any 5cheduled, I simply thought I'd remind you all that it's there for future use :)
Hope that clears it up :likesitall:

Beer pie? Sounds awesome.

For it to be in the 5chedular properly, someone'll have to organise a game.

Yes, okay.

Getting back to the game, if anyone is a star wars fan at all, this has possibly the most extensive star wars mod ever made for any game. Ever.

I don't like star wars that much, but the sheer scale of this mod is simply awe-inspiring. It's been in development for fucking ages, but it might be fun if iit works over hamachi.

I played a SW mod on HW1 and it was excellent. It really carried a lot of depth and detail. someone had spent a vast amount of time creating it, and by god it looked good.

The Warlords mod for HW2 has more spaceships in it than I ever thought possible. It's not at all balanced, when I've played it the empire seemed to have hundreds of fucking massive planet-killing sort of things, whereas the rebels just had lots of shitty fighters and frigates. I guess they haven't found a way to implement the horse into it yet. Anyway, if anyone wants, I will play either.
