Double Blammy: StarGate Worlds Footages
Blimey, it sure is convention season. There's a whole load of other stuff coming out of Comi-Con in San Diego (where our own Mr Gillen currently pimps his second career) and one of the most interesting bits of info-fluff is this first look at StarGate Worlds. StarGate Worlds. An MMO with machineguns? And people apparently using cover? Stealth? Beautiful sci-fi worlds? Okay we were expecting that last bit, but still: stuff!

Remember, the stargate network is farking massive (not to mention it's NOT the only method of getting to a planet either).
They could have entire planets revolving around conquest (ala CP points in Tabula Rasa with players vs npcs etc) if they so felt like it.
But the mission scope for instances is massive, and rather varied.
Obviously it's centered on warfare, but you could have a number of storyline missions: get allies/resources from other worlds, mounting attacks, defending allies, Ancient tech hunting on planets (hell, could be an entire story line to unlock more of the network)....etc.
Hopefully there will be airborne units to some extent as well.
It's got alot of scope, which makes it interesting.

First video looked good, made me think bastard child of CoX and TR, in the manner of various areas with more stuff within to do missions in (like CoH's zones and buildings, but on a bigger scale, and different) but with active combat, like TR.
Second video, not good.

However, I don't think that post was in response to hearing this exists, I think it was to some mmo universe suggestions somewhere, I could be mistaken, it was a few months ago now.

A Stargate MMONG? Stargate does nothing for me, but if the game's decent I'd give it a go.
