right here goes trying to explain this one...

I have a wireless card (Ralink RT2500 Wlan) That works..... but the problem is from this morning its really beeen playing up... Its connected and WZC shows full connectivity but i get no internet connection what so ever.....

Intermittantly.... sometimes its working sometimes it does this problem. When its acting up...

Cant ping google... 'host not found'

I try to log on to MSN fails obviously and the troubleshoot gives me:
Hosts file bad
Two DNS errors
Unrepairable. I tried to repair through windows to no avail.

The thing i did notice was that when using Ralink config software it shows full connection yet when you look at the signal strength meters they flash from 100% to 0 (as if turned off) constantly, like on off on off at about 1.5 second intervals. When I have connection like now ... they are on 100% all the time.

Any idea i tried google but to be honest i dont really no what to google for as its so complex.

Try going into your wireless router and change the channel it runs on. It could be that someone in your street is using the same channel and they are interfering.

Channel auto-set features have never worked in my experience.

Also, connected doesn't mean your password is correct. If the password is wrong the network just appears garbled, although still connected.

Try plugging a Cat5e into your router to make sure that the problem is with your wi-fi

if it is your wi-fi, you can try seeing if anything is interfering with the signal, such as microwaves, wireless telephones, radios, or anything of that sort. At work I was experiencing regular wi-fi outages, at roughly the same time every day. It turned out to be the microwave around the corner that people used at lunchtime somehow blocked me from getting a signal. As soon as it turned on, I lost the connection, and when it finished it came right back.
