Does anyone play them and know of any good ones?

I've mostly just played one called Block Buster which is quite a good breakout clone and ideal for playing a quick few minutes while having a shit. XIII was also pretty good.

Mobile games make me want to chop off my thumbs (although then I wouldn't be able to jump in real games).

I rarely play these, but theres 3 that came with the phone. Forgotten Warrior is a little platform game which is very simple and kept me amused for a good 10 mins.

You have a Sumsung AICMFP!

Unfortunately O2 don't do Doom RPG so I can't get it for free on my work mobile (and it probably wouldn't run on this piece of shit they gave me) so I might have to buy it from vodafone.

edit: oh dear, I've just noticed a version of CoD2 for mobiles. Probably only runs in directx 7 mode.

Yup, a D500. I'm due an upgrade in a few weeks tho - any suggestions? I'm on O2 online and don't want to have to pay for it, but I really want some decent MP3 storage so I can use it as an MP3 player instead of getting a seperate one. I was thinking of the Sony Ericsson W810i unless anyone has a better suggestion?

If you don't want to pay for an upgrade pretend that you want to end the contract, you should be able to get pretty much whatever you want for free.

If you're on O2 you could try one of these new I-mode phones. I've not tried it myself so I don't know exactly what it's like or what additional costs there are but might be worth looking into. Also you're limited to 3 phones by the look it. I was involved in installing the hardware for it so might not be such a great idea. :faint:

Yeah - I'm going to go for the "givemewhatIwantorI'lltakemynumberandleavethankyouverymuch" option because I'm going away for a few months next feb and O2 don't let you pause the contract, so I'm debating switching anyway. Even if I don't leave, I'm still going to see what I can get from them. I have a mate who made up some fantastic offer and challenged his phone company to beat it, which they did, despite it being ficticious. They get enough money from me, so I figure I should make it worth my while at least.

I'm very wary of these 3rd party companies having been shafted by phones4cunts. Also, the ability to "pause" the contract is relatively important since I'll be away for 5-6 months and its a long time to pay for a service I'm not using. Alternatively I'll just not upgrade, keep what I've got, thus not entering a new 12 month contract, end it when I go away and get a new deal when I come back. I have a feeling that this will be the best option, which is a shame cos I'd like a new phone!

can you upload em via usb? i downloaded a zip file a while back with hundreds of java and such games for various phones if you want it

No, unfortunately not. I use bluetooth for moving stuff between phone and PC, despite its slowness, but theres no option for java games

Also, Samsung's PC software is shite.

I had a third party USB cable for my last phone, a Nokia and the software that came with that let you access the phone's entire filesystem, which the Nokia software didn't.

Hopefully something along the lines of India, Vietnam, Australia and South America. No places definite yet, just general travelling.

Ooh, have fun with that. And also if you do find what phone you want, tell me what you go for, I could really do with replacing my hunk of junk peice of crap phone pretty soon (Its broken, the joystick.. means half of the functions don't work properly.. *Grumbles*..)

I've been trying to get this (despite my previous comment). Anyone know if it'll work on a Motorola V3?

Bluetooth adapter thingy on order so I can just download the bloody thing, seeing as I can't find anywhere to get it sent to my phone.

*Is shit with mobile phones*
