And the winners are.....Everyone!

A good time was had by all! In the Pvp category, we ended up having a 5punkorp vs. Fw4ppers, 2 on 4. The rules were a bit unclear about how we were to end up in the belt designated for combat, and the 5punkers showed up seperated. We had agreed to stop at structure, but somehow managed to kill Hulk's ship. Fabyak managed to get out with his ship alive though.

The next event, the mining race, met with some confusion too. As some members of Fw4ppers had never mined, instruction was mixed with competition. The goal was to have two contestants 'fill' a huge secure container with veldspar, with the first to fill it winning. Instead both contestants ended up at the same container with some confusion, and were a bit mismatched with a cruiser vs. a frig.

Finally, the race. After discussion about what the race was about, we began, to find that the organizer, (Dres) had bungled the order and created a 'loop' so the course couldn't be completed. Everyone had a laugh though, and the evening deemed a success.

Thanks to all who braved the extreme late hours to attend!

Twas a learning experience. the next one should run smoother. /me crosses fingers

On a side note, Sam got her 1st PvP kill.... even though it was because she did not stop her guns in time, Ty learned to mine, and Dres learned that in order for a race to work he can't have a can in the middle of the race point back to the 1st can in the race, or we end up with a small loop. Though Hulk did manage to misread that one and continued on unhindered. ^^

So hurrah! for us Fw4ppers and the end of our 1st of many torneys to be held. And may my ship never be on the opposing side of Sam's guns. ^^
