Fluffy thread.

Seeing as it was i that created the rant thread, i feel it is only right if i created a thread to counter it as well.
So what did you see or experience recently that put a smile on your face and made you think the world isn't so bad after all? (doesn't have to be recently.)

Personally, i had it some time ago when Hektor the dog decided not to listen when i was trying to teach him stuff but he thought it was a better idea to just run around and harass other people. so i sat down for a bit with my head in my hands, and after a while he run up to me and starting licking my face like it was some kind of meat popsicle (wich is a way for dogs to show that they really like you and respect your authority.) and listened perfectly for the remaining time of his training.
other things that make me happy are rabdom passers-by that smile at you or say hello, it's become so rare these days.

how about you?

Meeting up with an old friend from college earlier this week.
Memories, old jokes, new jokes, lots of booze.

Good times.

The other day I saw the tiniest dog I have ever seen being walked by a huge bloke. That made me smile.
I also got overtaken on the motorway by a proper hotrod the other day, which made me almost crash my car, but in a good way.

I can't think earlier than today. I accidentally cut a bloke in a big 4x4 up on the multi-story car park earlier because I was looking as a Mazda taking up two parking spots and criticising it. I stopped, but I was poking out into his way and forced him to stop too, so I put my hand up by way of an apology. Expecting an unheard tirade of abuse and gesticulation, the chap simply smiled and waved me out. Rare to find someone on the road who's carefree and forgiving.

At work we have a white van, which I sometimes drive when transporting servers around, or more often when I am feeling too lazy to walk to the machine room on the other site. While driving it, I am always really courteous and let people out, etc - which is always worth it to see the incredulous looks on their faces.

I'm off my tits on joy because today i bought a Vespa PX 125, in "midnight blue" which had only done 1000 miles, one owner (who's wife made him give it up  ), not a single scratch on it and from a local Piaggio dealer with a year's parts and labor still on it's warranty, for £1760. Or £1900 with a decent helmet and L-plates chucked in... Got him down from £1895, not bad eh? 8) It's taken far far far far FAR too long to save up.

The dealer was a 30 year old Italian family run business too, with the deal done by an old Italian guy with hundreds of heartwarming tales to tell.

It has been a good day... Now i just have to wait to have it delivered :likesitall:

What is it with 5punkers and purple cars?

We love our purple cars, it's the closest colour to magenta available.

Either way, Fluffy tiem go.

I've recently found a very good bunch of friends, and while I'll be parted from most of them in the summer (and back with my other good bunch), next year will be fun and they'll keep me sane :)

For no particular reason I was somewhat grumpy this afternoon. Then the missus came back from town, and at 4pm we set out on what ended up being a 3 hour bike ride. For some reason, going out for long rides like that always puts me in a good mood, although I am now a bit saddle-sore.

This post may contain some potential for innuendo.

Needs go fasters and a shark tooth grin on the grill, just to announce your intentions to other road users.

Hmmm, 5punk seems to have eaten my post.

Nope, doesn't seem to be hungry. Yet.

Although theres a play group and a primary school on camp, and another primary school less than 2 miles away...

I am fluffy because in a fortnight I will be going to sunny Bulgaria for two weeks a lady friend.

It was something of a short notice holiday too, which seems to make it better. I haven't been away for ages, and I wasn't really planning too either. Then someone at work was wondering round asking if anyone wanted to buy this holiday off them, as they were now now unable to make it. At first I wasn't really listening, but when they said when it was it caught my attention - we would be flying on the day of said lady friend's birthday. A few phone calls and checking of diaries later, and the thing was booked. Hurrah!

:ahoy:
