Patching order

What is the recommended order to patch stuff, assuming a fresh installation, since I've knacked up at least twice?

I'm guessing:

- Install BF2
- Install SF (which first patches to '1.1')
- Install 1.21 Full Patch
- Install Euro

Also steps for gamers without all those add-ons would be handy, too.

My errors have been:

- 1.12 patching after installing SF result: "Bong Bong Crash!"
- post 1.12 patching before installing SF result: "You're FatherSpack, AICM30P"
- patching after installing Euro result: "You do not have Euro installed"

I think.

Part of my problem is GameShadow, which (possibly incorrectly) detects game versions and patches, usually using the interim ones, but also the game version display within the game itself, which seems utterly random.

The EA downloader says "1.21 patches BF2 and Euro", but then illogically states "1.21 should be installed before Euro". My brain hurts.

Edit: fixed my 1.12/1.21 mixups.

*uninstalls BF2 completely and sighs*

*picks up BF2 box and remembers the Nickface/Harold image and is cheered up*

With BF2 only

do a fully clean install of bf2,
patch to 1.21 using the standalone patch.

With SF

do a fully clean install of bf2,
install SF
patch to 1.21 using the standalone patch,

With SF and EuroForce

do a fully clean install of bf2,
install SF
patch to 1.21 using the standalone patch,
install Euroforce.

With EuroForce

do a fully clean install of bf2,
patch to 1.21 using the standalone patch,
install Euroforce.

Also, it's worth noting that euroforce is more like a map-pack than an expansion (like SF is) it installs within the BF2 install, rather than into it's own directory.
