Well. It was quite fun. Not the huge success we'd all hoped for but we certainly learned a lot and picked up one or two nice drops. For those of you who weren't there, here's a quick synopsis:

1. We all got our ships and flew to the system in question (only an hour late which is pretty good for us).
2. Wiggy, our chosen sacrificial lamb, warped into the deadspace and tried hard not to panic :rectum: :poo: .
3. We all warped in after him and started engaging some big juicy looking battleships, with Mr Pants and Lee dealing with the frigs :dalek: .
4. Wiggy's computer crashed and our tank left :shakefist: . We all followed in a mad rush to get away from the big juicy targets that were now shooting at us.
5. Started again. Wiggy's computer crashed again - rinse and repeat...
6. Made it to stage two, wtfpwned everything in sight. That was cool. We were getting the hang of things by now.
7. Dres joined us. Popped. Left.
8. Went into level 3. Dog Pants went :censored: ... :dohtwo: ... :faint: and exited stage right in his :lemon: ( :pointl: pod).
9. It all went a bit wrong again so we left. Discovered we still had the key to stage 3 so me, Wiggy and Hehulk went back in and started clearing the respawns.
10. Bad rat dude :pirate: turned up and wasn't friendly to me. I jumped into stage 2 to get away from him. In my excitement I shot Hehulk  Got all flashy red and was labelled Number 1 most wanted in Eve for 15 minutes. Hehulk warped us to the gate to get away from nasty :pirate: . The gate guns :finger: to my little blackbird: :lemon: :(
11. We wrapped it up and went home (queue Hulk/Wiggy chasing nasty :pirate: )

Funtastic all round! What did we learn: fleet work, support ships, teamwork, operating under pressure...and watch out for friendly fire. We should do it again sometime.

Sounds like it was fun. I'm definitely up for one of these, just need to sort out a pass

This :above: after I got a bollocking off Mrs Pants for playing while I was on the phone to her

Also, I learnt:

1. Cheap frigs FTW. If I'd have got my Jaguar spanked like that I would have been very upset.

2. An indy loot bitch with a traaaa'er beam would be great.

3. Just because you have a BS tanking, doesn't mean you won't get shot at.

4. Cheap frigs don't like turrets in stage 3. Cruiser with small guns might be a nice option.

Sounds ok. Slightly surprised that they insta poped you, but when they turned on friz, I was just using my support drones to keep him alive while he healed Lee. Seemed quite effective (until the turrets turned on my drones). Also, ass launchers kill frigs in seconds, so it doesn't have to be turrets.

I'll bring her up next time. She's got it all sorted. Also, keeping the two bs's close together so I could target switch was cool. And anyone could tank those gun platforms as long as you stay 65km or more away :)

I got wtfpwned in less than 5 seconds, and I was travelling at 800m/s+ in the opposite direction. If that doesn't get me 65km away nothing does. Maybe I should just make sure I'm last to warp in next time.

Advanced staging at the station in system would probably be a good idea as well. That way we have backup cheap frigs for dead cheep frigs, also, as somebody mentioned cruisers would have been handy in third room, so having a couple ships per person could have made a difference.

Sounds like it was a load of fun though!

This all sounds like tonnes of fun!

Just wish I knew what it all meant. Reading these forums is like trying to understand a drunk russian sometimes!

And I'm still going to wait until at least May before trying the free 14 day trial. I wouldn't have the will-power to resist playing it constantly and can't afford the time yet.

Please don't be afraid to check out eve! We've built a training corp to help new players make heads AND tails of what goes on in Eve, without having to go it alone or worry about keeping up with the big boys. Just send Dres Kaneerdan an Evemail in game when you're done with the tutorial, (or during if you get stuck and need help). The tutorial helps me know where to start showing you stuff in game. Then we'll direct you to a place where you can join Fw4ppers, our training corp, and get you enjoying the game while you learn! As you discover what you want to do in Eve, we'll give you whatever help we can, and hopefully you'll see fit to join 5punkorp and help us mark the whole universe in 5punk!
