Haha! Scared you. I wouldn't dare, I'd get fist raped by berk for even mentioning in it.
OK. Bored office moment over, move along now.

I feel it'd be better done by someone who has never played eve before.

I could have done with this when I started playing. Bloody complicated.

They've improved the whole 'new player experience' a lot. It's much more progressive and the starter missions actually give you useful stuff, like ships, modules and the skills to use them.
The rest of the game is still as convoluted, confusing and bizarre as ever before. Fucking odd game compared to all other MMOs, but it seems to attract an almost ideological crowd of followers (See also:
Hehulk).

Are there any non-evers who would like to give this a go?
I'd be genuinely interested in some solo experiences in this game, as my experience has always been with a casual group of 5punkers, or briefly with the HARDXXXCORE group.

Serously, why?
You'd get so bored so quick...

What, so that's it?
MMO Diary for EVE-Online:
Started the game today.
I got really bored so I quit.

Exactly that^^
MMOs are built (or usually intended) to be group play experiences. Run the thing solo, and you'll get bored.

*slightly* flawed argument, in that theres plenty of MMO's that I play solo with only occasional Hot Group Action, and I enjoy them plenty. Actually, thinking about it, I played EVE for about a year solo, and enjoyed it fine. I quite liked the lone pilot against the world thing. Admittedly, it significantly slowed my progress, but still, its possible.

Eve's weird cos it's predominantly a sandbox game, with very little GM created content - you make of it what you will. Downside of that there's not a vast amount you can do on your own, although from time to time some creative spark appears and does something novel.
That said, this is changing again in the next patch which is bringing in some more NPC driven content for people to muck around with.
Wait, this wasn't supposed to be an Eve thread. Stop it!

I'd actually like to see a new player do eve too.
What I wouldn't want to see is a diary along the lines of "I did the tutorial, joined 5punkorp, got given a ship, 10,000 isk and told where to go"
Because that wouldn't be a review of eve, it'd be a review of 5punk's presence in eve.
It'd be better to have a diary of someone starting eve with no existing contacts, and just making their own way in the world, joining a corp if they wanted to etc.

Anyone remember this from last year?

I'd be half tempted to write something up if I rejoined, as I'd have to learn the game again, which would mean starting with an alt and going through the new tutorial before going back to my main character, seeing as alot has changed in 12 months or so.
