Yeah, that name-colour thing is the only bug I've experienced, and that was only for the first time last night.

it seems occasional, and only seems to happen randomly, per instance of BEEF running.

if youget it, i reckon quitting beef and starting again would fixit.

Why do they release a new patch the day after I spend ages downloading the 4000TB 1.2 patch :?

How big is this one?

Edit: Oh, the incremental one looks reasonable. P.S. I really enjoyed BEEF last night, I want to play more. now. curse you EA.

I have this problem too. And I've just 'got' pschonauts as well.
Set my computer transcoding some video for DVD which will give me at least 4 hours where I can't play games, and I need to finish an essay today! :shakefist:

That's handy, thanks.

I'm sure that red name thing has happened to me more times than I've noticed. There's been a couple of times I've killed someone then looked at the body and realised they're wearing a friendly uniform, how many team mates have I killed and not even noticed?! :?

I think i'll enjoy it even more when i've worked out what all the icons floating around mean :?

Also I played on a while after everyone left and sort of got the hang of the jet controls, well I managed to take off, god knows how you're supposed to actually shoot at anything in them, and coincidentally the moment my flatmate came into my room to have a look at the game was the moment I chose to fly sideways through some chimney stacks, he was well impressed*

*until I crashed into the sea upsidedown

Maybe it's a 'feature' - friendly fire. Certainly would make it an authentic Middle Eastern battlefield experience.

The icons just take getting used to, but they're fairly intuitive on the whole. As far as flying jets goes, I found it really helpful to turn the mouse sensitivity up quite a lot so you can actually manouver quickly. The same goes for vehicles so that you can move the tank and APC turrets around quickly enough to be useful. The fact that you can adjust them independently is a good feature IMO.

I've still not got to grips with the bombing at all tho, but am getting better at shooting down other planes and helocopters with the air-to-air missiles! I only tend to fly when I'm in a server with shite/no squads in it, cos its not the most rewarding aspect of the game.

Before 1.2 I was getting noticably better at shooting down other planes (still couldn't bomb for shit), but now it seems as though three bullets from an enemy plane's machine gun totally destroys my plane. Maybe it's just due to me not having played for a while or maybe it's something they did. If I remember correctly they did reduce the strength of the planes/helis...

What I gather from watching other people is that the best way to bomb is to dive as steeply towards the target as possible, releasing the bombs and pulling up again as late as you can.
