then delete the file called background01.vtf

this will return your CS splash screen to the orignal one.

at least it looks somewhat decent, as opposed to that dumbass PAF map pack one.

NEVER EVER DOWNLOAD MAPPACKS. The cockmunchers who make them will stick you with all kinds of crap.

Yes, I quite liked it - it makes that pool in the oil rig map look most inviting.
