just wondered if it might make sense to have xfire player listings for each game type, so you can find players of the same games as you, say, CS:S and CS, rather than adding a hundred random people?

Good suggestion, but it's trying to do that, without confusing new members as to what people they should add etc...

It would involve new users having to say which games they play when posting their xfire user names, and then some way of being able to update this when new games are bought with existing users. (If that makes sense?)

I'll have a think about it, and try to come up with something, however the main prblem with this, is trying to hack the phpbb forum, and actually getting it to work. The alternative of course is just having a sticky in each forum stating the xfire user names of the people that play the relevant game.

However, there are a number of existing 5punkers that use xfire all the time, but don't get involved with the forum at all.
