Bad BEEF

I finally (8 weeks after ordering) got BEEF2 today, but so far I've only managed to log time in the menu screen. Anytime I try to do anything (start SP game after install, create account) it freezes and I have to hit the reset button. I've put the included nVidia drivers on, on the offchance but to no avail. I'm downloading the patch now in the vain hope that that'll fix it, but in the meantime has anyone any ideas as to what I can do?

When I first got beef I think I had some problems which were fixed when I installed the included drivers. Patching is a must with this game, it had many problems to start with. Good luck

Finally got the patch working on the second download, and after an installation that seemed to last an ice-age. All seems to be well, although I've not actually tried the game yet
Bet bit so far: the bird at the menu screen saying "Welcome to Doodie". Doodie indeed.
