I recently lost my passport and having reported this to the Passport Office I received the following letter:
Now how in the hell do they propose I do that?Thank you for telling us about the loss of your previous passport. We've cancelled the passport issued on 20 May 04 on our computer system and put the details on our database. Passport is no longer valid for use. To make sure you do not have difficulties whilst travelling abroad you must not use the missing passport.
