I'm just thinking once I have a 360, I would gladly donate all my games to anyone that needed them if it were at all possible.

You can't donate games only own one copy of, you can only donate if by purchasing a product like a box set, you're getting a spare copy of a title.

Effectively it means for Valve "someone's bought it twice, might as well let someone use the spare as we've made our money".

You can also buy games as gifts to give to people, but you can't give away stuff you already have in your account. At most you can just give someone else the password to your account and let them use it.
