Hyperthreading

I've got one game (and a few suspected others) that crash with this on - I have to select the process once it's running and set its affinity to CPU0 only.

So,

1. Is there a way to do this automatically, without switching to the task manager once the game is running?

2. Might I just as well turn it off, does it make that much difference and do most games not use it correctly anyway?

Cheers for any suggestions.

Cheers, I guess I just consistently put the wrong search terms in.

Hyperthreading is a lame gimmick. I say turn it off.

mm.. Yeah, if you've only got one processor, thats trying to be 2? And you turn it off so its one again, surely thats the same amount of processing power.. So Turn it off!
