Ermmm, isn't everybody on the internet supposed to be screaming about how great it is?

News and reviews etc.. about the console seem to be pretty "meh", and is this due to the fact no bugger can get hold of one, or the fact that it's actually not much better than playing on an up-to-date gaming PC?

Seems to me to be an "anti climax" from where I'm standing, but I was wondering if you knew anyone who was extremely impressed with their 360?

So far the response I keep hearing is "yeah, it's alright", as if they were expecting more than they got.

I suppose it's case of overhype leads to dissapointment, right?

I sure as fuck don't care.

Maybe it's that the PC owning peeps who bought 360's aren't bowled over by it as it's no better than good PC graphics,

Thie kiddies comparing it with Xbox's or PS2's are probably impressed but arn't screaming on the internet about how good it is cos they don't use the interwebs and are all about 8.

Well I havent played on one myself but i know a few people who have, all of them think the graphics are terrible compared to the PC and from my experience console games are never anywhere near as good as PC games in the gameplay department either.

So I say meh to the xbox 360, i'm also doubting whether i want a PS3, might spend the money i'd spend on that on PC upgrades...

Is it that surprising? It doesn't exactly offer anything new. My PC runs COD2 with better graphics than the 360, and my card is getting on a bit.

Still, it'll be interesting to see what happens when we start getting software written for it properly, as opposed to ports and guesstimates.

snot all that bad. as with any console, the first few games are poorly made as the entire industry is made of noobs. cos its new. go play gta3 and compare it to gta:sa and you will see what i mean. from the 10mins me and a mate played that new fifa one yesterday i was fairly impressed though. needless to say its better than my 1.2ghz processer and 9800pro could handle anyway

launch games weren't all that good except for project gotham and condemned, but i'm getting one because the games coming out this year look the dogs danglies.
also it costs less than the pc upgrade i'd need to play games like that
