Im not really able to get on much at the moment, CD drive is b0rked so im using a no-cd hack to play, which means i can only get on non-punk buster servers, of which there arnt many

also for some reason, having xfire running crashes BF.

So its all going a bit monkey kong

On a serious note though, it's probably the hack that is allowing xfire to crash Battlefield, but then again, maybe not.

Did this use to happen before you used the hack (due to your cd borkage)?

You could try searching the Xfire forums if this continues after you reinstall/patch/replace cd.

it was fine for a while, i think it went wrong when it was just after xfire did an update, so that might be it.

i really should get on and fix my PC, only need to replace an ide cable for gawds sake

I think to fix the xfire thing you need to turn off the ingame messaging option. It bugegrs ET too
