Second hand laptops...

I know this is unlikely to be the case, but does anyone have a redundant laptop that they no longer want? It would be quite handy for me to have one at home I think so that me and the missus can both use a computer each at the same time, but a second desktop would just take up too much space.

It doesn't have to be anything special, just something for browsing and word-processing really, but the ability to run some basic games could be good too. Spec-wise, I'd like something with a gig'o'ram, a DVD drive and preferably in-built wireless too. I'm willing to exchange beer tokens for such a machine, so if anyone has one then please let me know.

Also, I'm driving from Newcastle to Reading in a couple of weeks, so if you're anywhere roughly along the A1/M1/A43/M40/A34 then I can pick it up then.

Get her an eeePC, she'll think it's cute, and you get your PC back :likesitall:

Isn't that what chicken got? I think a proper laptop would actually be better - especially for actually working on rather than just watching youtube.

  Hahahahaaa. But no.

In terms of the spec, I just want something that won't cry when using XP, and can maybe be used to watch films on too. Built-in wireless isn't a necessity, as long as the wireless intertubes can be added somehow.

Well to be honest I'm looking a little speculatively at the moment, but am wanting to keep it under £100, hence asking mates for second-hand ones.

I thought that might be the case, but I figured I may as well ask. Shy bairns get nowt! I'm not so keen for one as to want to spend £300 on a brand new one. Ta anyway though.
