i've got a bit of a dilemma here.....

basically i've got 2 hdd's

-int. 160 gb (games+software)
-ext. 320 gb (crappy one for music+movies+random poo)

i'm running out of space on both, probably cus of my rather huge amount of music and a few movies and basically i need another hdd. the problem is i have no way of adding another int. hdd and i need an external which runs fast enough to play games without any sort of laggy crap (as far as i know most ext. hdd's cant really cope with newer games tht well). any suggestions to what would be a gd alternative to an int. are welcomed.

oh yeah, and it has to be under £100, probably wont matter much cus they come in storage size series so one will be within my measly budget.

What case do you have? Surely even dells have room for another hdd?

Also, that may be an eHDD that runs really fucking fast, but I doubt your usbs would maintain that bandwidth unless you've got proper usb 2.0 on your rig - stuff about usb's.

For ~100 quid, you could replace your internal hdd with a massive one that would take ages to fill up, even if you cranked the pron to 11, this 500Gb samsung would be a better use of your money.

fuck USB if you're doing anything but file storage on it. your best bet is to get an eSATA drive. eSATA runs at the same speeds as internal SATA, so if you're going to installing games to it eSATA is the best.

Well yeah, but given he has room for 1 hdd, I'm betting a pre-built and I'm also guessing the makers where monkeys who thought eSata was a form of pill that they could drop to get 'fuckin' smacked off me fuckin tits mate, bostin!'

its nt my case tht wont add another hdd, its got like 6 slots, its the motherboard doesnt have anymore slots in it......

anywayi think my motherboard has real usb is this it?(from the device menu of windows)

also, can u get 20 pin hard drives + can u get those ide cables as three way connectors for 3 different devices? (2 hard drives+dvd drive)

oh yeah and i made my pc like 2 years ago when i didnt really have a clue about them.........

1) Buy Sata expansion card for free PCI slot

2) Puchase HDD's and cables

3) Put all in case and connect

4) ???

5) Profit.
