Image Phone May Not Have Killed Worker
Remember the guy we told you about yesterday that was apparently killed by an exploding cell phone battery? Remember we said that if the battery exploded after he died he would be the unluckiest man on the planet? Turns out he really was the unluckiest man on the planet....well, besides that whole "dying" thing.

The quarry worker, whose name has not been released, was found dead Wednesday with a melted phone battery in his shirt pocket, according to police. He also had a broken spine and ribs as well as heart and lung injuries.

Hmm, yes, an exploding battery, with a small piece of c4 added into the mix. A phone battery would never generate enough explosive horse to break ribs or a spine, especially with the phone in his shirt pocket, stupid people.

Furthermore ( I could have used also, but I fancied a change) that's a long way from being the unluckiest man on the planet. A man who survives a flood/tornado/earthquake/fire to see his wife, children, home, business and savings destroyed in front of him is far more unlucky.

As violent as a Li-ion fire is, I doubt it'd be up to detonating C4. :)

A small piece of c4 wouldn't detonate anyway, it'd just burn. But my point was, well you know my point, your just being you. :shakefist:

True enough.

I'm sure prof would be able to devise something to do the job. :)

It'd have to be far more volatile, and consequently unstable. Stuff that explosives licences allow/stuff made from mixing what's under the sink wouldn't cut it in those tiny quantities. However, I think prof should give it a go, blow up a few mobile phones, video the results and we can all see if I'm right or not.

Indeed. The dead have no luck, good or bad. It's the survivors who get the shit end.

Hilti Nailgun cartridges should do the trick...i'm told

(Also, dont what ever you do search you tube for the tags "8mm" and "SMG". Definatly not interesting videos at all. and neither is a series of videos by Outsider01)

Damn you for tempting me. I can get the steel piercing strength from work. Just have to hope I don't get bored in the office for a while, until I forget about it.

I don't think there is a minimum amount of C4 to detonate, if you present a minimal amount with enough shock. I think you are possibly getting confused with dynamite, which will burn if exposed to heat, but not explode.
