Which manufacturer do you use?
No fanboyism involved I'm simply interested in knowing which manufacturer is used most by the 5punkers.

Nvidia. But I've used both.

Nvidia, mainly because the last time ATI were competitive on performance, the cards were considerably more expensive (7900gt vs. x1950)
Before that I was mostly ATI.

Nvidia, because they were the best for the money at the time I upgraded. I have no brand-loyalty whatsoever in almost anything (Food is probably the main exception).

3dfx.
I had a very poor experience with the only ATi card I've ever used, so I've stuck with nVidia ever since.

Seems I'm the only person running an Ati card atm, next upgrade is taking me back to Nvidia though

I only have the mental capacity to understand one manufacturer's hardware numbering system, I have chosen nvidia.

there's at least 2 more on ati, only one of them bought a good one, IIRC. (no, not KV)

Would that be me by some chance with my 1950XT system at home?
(rather than the 800XT I've got here at uni, but does this mean I get two votes?)

in that case, 3 with 2 good cards (I was thinking wey on an x1900 summat) also, I think anham is now too.

If it does, I get 5 votes (4 for nvidia, 1 for ati)

i dont care narf. When i built my first PC, Intel was the bees knees and AMD (K6-2 500 FTW!) was 80% as fast for 60% of the money. I went for an S3ViRGE to do all the 2d stuff in windows, with a pair of Voodoo2s in SLI (This is also why i'm wary of crosfire setups).
I was always chasing the next big thing.
Now i dont care what i use, as long as the games i want to play run acceptably (1024x768@ at least 25fps). I've just upgraded from an X800GTO to a x1950PRO (becuase the new EvE update coming soonish needs SM3.0), but that doesnt mean i'm an ATI fanboi, it just means that of the options i had (8800 for lots of moneys, or a 512mb X1950pro for free), the ATI card made more sense. hell, i'm still running an AMD athlon XP64 4000+.
I dunno what my next upgrade will be, (Probably one of the dualcore athlons that fit my mobo) but you can guarentee it wont be the top of the line of anything!
tL;dR: Poll needs more 'Dont Care' option.
Anhams el-cheapo setup:
Asus A8N-E
AMD Athlon 64 4000+
1024Mb DDR
X1950PRO 512mb
Runs Teef, Beef, FUTAR Beed, Cod 1/UO/4, CS:S, EVE, GTR, and MechWarrior:Mercs at the resolution i've chosen, at the refreshrate i've chosen. Anything else is just Meh.....And i'm bankrupt with trying to feed a small engined economical car......

The question was what do you use, not what you prefer

I know, i just fancied seeing if i could still write long rambling posts, that avoided the question, and all of a sudden came back at the question like a bag of spanners from nowhere!
Also, trying to get my 5punk levels up again

Used to be a radeonfag. Got an 8800 because it was cheap and ATi didn't/still don't have anything comperable in price and power out, and so became a geforcefag.

Both, until I sell my old one, when I'll be in the nVidia camp.
I still have a Banshee that I use occasionally too.

How cruel!
I'm wrong, actually, the Banshee isn't used any more. I think it's a GeForce 420 I'm thinking of.

Pfft, I have a Voodoo 5 5500 equiped machine as my play around server machine/old games pc. Getting drivers is a bitch, think it currently supports dx 8.1.
The last pc to be skipped, which was all of 2 months ago was fully running with an onboard Voodoo 3 2000 chip (which had a fan on it, odd as the 2000 pci cards used heatsinks only).

What, no "Intel" option?
Laptop with integrated graphics FTL.
