5punky Kart

Post by MIkkyo »

does anyone fancy some 5punky style mario kart on the DS? I know you can add people via friend codes (mine is 416727565190) so thought some 5punky racing could be fun. Bringing 5punking gaming to the Console.

I'm up for that once I've got my wireless router set up again. I've even got a CDC logo on my car. How do you find out what your code is?

Ah, found it. It's a Mario Kart thing, not a DS thing. Apparently you have to connect to the wireless thing before you can get it. I might as well try and set up my router now, I'm curious about this.

I could do that, with teamspeak? Obviously not the DS version of TS as that doesn't exist.

Do DS lites support a higher level of security than the chunky originals? I had to reduce my security settings to connect my FatBoy, before discovering there wasn't very much I could do with it.

I'm using MAC address limiting and WEP, and I've connected fine. My friend code is 111784898205.

I kind of look for WPA2 with TKIP+AES as a minimum, WEP isn't fantastically secure, but I haven't had any breaches using MAC limiting.

Yeah, my knowledge of wireless stuff is pretty limited. Luckily I know more than most who live here, and those who don't are kept out by armed guards.

I use the names of popular local gangsters as my ESSIDs, which tends to discourage leeching in a similar way.

The Lites still only use WEP, which is a good point because I'm using WPA as well, I'd have to downgrade my security.

Cunting fucking blue shells!!!!! I keep winning all the races right until the last lap, guaranteed 100 yds before the finish line some piece of shit will blue shell me then the rest of the karts pass by me effortlessly. The rule in Mario kart wi-fi, it pays not to be a winner.

I changed my wireless from WPA to WEP and it made the connection very unstable for other uses so I can't join you.

And yes, playing against unknown Internet people does result in rage in my experience.

I never played double dash so had yet to experiance online racing. Owned all the others though and I can't recall there being blue shelled by my mates or computer and having the rage.
