Teamspeak

I've noticed on a few servers recently (CoD & Beef 2 mainly), that the server info screen has something along the lines of:

"Why not join in and chat to us on our Teamspeak server..."

Does anyone think it might be worthwhile trialing this t see how it goes (obvioulsy pack it in if we get a bunch of fucktards)? Dare we expose ourselves to the unassuming masses?

Could be good publicity/recruiting for 5punk. On the other hand it might be a fucking huge disaster.

:cheese:

Might be worth a try on COD nights

If they last longer than 2 minutes, they're probably the right people for 5punk :)

I say no, because that way we can make fun of people without them knowing about it.

This :above:

We've had a couple of people invited on already IIRC (Templar?). The fact that they can hear us isn't going to stop them getting the piss taken out of them.

Worth a try I guess, although complete strangers might not know what to expect/get offended when everyone swears at them or does Joey Deacon impersonations.

Might work, can always stop it if it turns into a disaster,

Probably beneficial in one way that when we are all yapping away on TS we don't tend to type much, so random joiners might think we're a bit quiet on our server, but if they see the option to join TS they may find that we are in fact chatty* and friendly**

I always have a werd for deject's mother but I voted maybe

CSS games are sometimes a bit quiet and the randoms might hang about for longer than a few rounds if they can join in the banter on TS

I'll have to do some fettling (to stop public fuckers misbehaving) but it should be ok

Hehe, and setting it so anon users have absolutely no rights, whatsoever.

Which has now been done.

However, there's gonna be rules added, and i'm gonna be leaning to a very active administration policy.

give every user and guest admin and let everybody fight it out for themselves

This :above: I rarely look at the chat screen when on TS and quite often miss what people are typing.

Dejects mom for me but i voted to try it, will admins be able to kick idiots off ts aswel or did i miss that bit? :P
I dont think randoms will join the banter anyway cos they would be put off by grimmies dry wit!
*personally enjoys da wit* :ahoy:

I suspect many may think we speak a different language.

Edit: and their attempts to match the zeitgeist in text chats currently are sometimes hilarious. A CSS game where donkey pron became a major topic brings back particularly fond memories.

(sssh, there Eeyore!)

My Microphone has decided to do a big fuck0r recently. (yes its plugged in the mic port! You'd be surprised how many have suggested this?).. So I may need a new one, and get a decent one rather than this pile of pants (£5 from maplin.. called "Bargain mic".. or something similarly shite).. ahhh.. Reminds me of the "Argain bucket" they do down "Mega Meals".. Didn't have space for the B on the window, so went without. :)

Edit: ooh yeah, back to the point, so I can't talk on Teamspeak, but it is interesting listening in on your conversations. And which one of you is it that keeps going on about seeing motorhead in germany?.. It got a bit repetitive. :D
