Soo, bought Beef 2 t'other day, played a few games and quite enjoyed it. Went to play today, but whenever I try to join a server I get this message:

'Unable to connect to server. Please check your network connection(s)'

:x

I've looked at EA's support page which firstly suggests turning off the Firewalls. I tried this and it makes no difference. The next thing they suggest is messing about with port numbers. Now I have no idea how to open ports etc, and I'd rather avoid having to do it.

So, has this happened to anyone else, or does anyone have any suggestions? I can't see it would be the ports thing otherwise I'm sure it wouldn't have let me play the other night.

is it patched? there was a problem with one of the patches that borked everything so all the servers went back to the prepatch setup, but i think the 1.3 patch is out now. Also, if it is the port forwarding thing www.portforward.com has a guide

It's patched yes, but I've just discovered something.

I can connect if I set the felcher to "same version only". The only problem is that none of those servers are ranked :(

Unless I'm being a mong and it isn't patched properly.

Of course they are, try to find and join an EA Offical server.

if you have problems, your game's not patched right

v1.03 has a window thingy you have to click through when the game loads, do you get that?

I used to get that a lot a while ago. Restarting beef (or in some cases the computer =/) tended to help a lot. I've never had that connection problem message thing after patching to 1.03. I still randomly get disconnected from servers once in a while though. :x
