How much? I don't think you said up there. :above:

The old hot hatches are good fun, I used to have a Peugeot 205 GTi 1.6 and it was superb to drive and I always wanted a Golf but maybe a Mk2.

haha, i'm better than the misses though ;)

errm well, a bit more than i wanted to spend.... 3K

I actually sold a peugeot 106 gti to get this car, obvioulsy that was bred from the 205, never had the pleasure of driving a 205 but i know from story's that they are an amazing little car.

Thanks guys :)

Your steering wheel is upside down, I'd get that looked at. :P

Not a bad price either. Use its power to mow down chavs in a gta fashion.

Its a classic is that, back when GTi's actually had a power to weight ratio that was in favour of speed. Nice find, I wouldn't mind a wee look under your bonnet to see the refurbing of it.

/still a greese monkey at heart even if they wont let him on big engines due to epilepsy anymore blog.

Looks quite nifty actually.

Of course, I'm in the unique postition of not actually being able to say anything bad as I own a woefully underpowered purple Astra hatchback.

Thats not a chav exhaust, it's nowhere near wide enough, you need one thats like an industrial baked bean tin to be a proper chav.

This thread does bring up the chance for a re-posting of this -

As a member of a VW nut family, I salute you sir. You have excellent taste in autmobiles, and I am envious of your new-old car.

Anham, your car seems to be wearing a sun visor. Does it play poker?

Also, seeing as we're posting our cars here's a pearoast:
