There's no longer any reason to keep your sister off the phone so the lines won't be tied up: Duty has officially called, and it's offering a new demo for you to enjoy. You can track down the beefy, 1.4 gigglebyte Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare demo here, here or here.

Sure, it may only be one level from the single-player campaign, but hopefully it will be enough to get your through until the game is released on Nov. 5. Now, for the love of Mike, go tell Tracy she can call Dylan. They're having a hard time right now.Read | Permalink | Email this | Comments

This actually seems good.

Kinda feels like JOTR in a way, but also has the comfy old pants feel of a cod game. :)

I'm back from my ninja jaunt, just noticed this, so it's dropping down my interpipe as I type, (twss) got about 2 hours to go, really should stop the ut3 d/l because they are both slowing each other, but I want both, and I can't decide which one to play first, so I'll let the gods of the internets decide.

Berk, did you get this to run in 1680x1050? Mine shits itself and says directx is b0rked if I try.

Also, starting with pripyat? Zomg, it's stalker!

*Gets*

Another game to play, on top of Crysis (not going to bother), ET:QW (Whoops!), Ep2, Portal, TEEF (Yays!), plus a new Wii!

Think I need to take a couple of months off work to focus on the serious business.

Mine also shits itself when I try to change resolutions. I guess I'll try re-downloading it.

this is a definite buy for me. it looks good, not too shiny, just the way i like it, and it does indeed feel like any other CoD game. :likesitall:

Hmm, had to use the config files to set what I wanted, anything in game made it fall over.

Still, it's easy if anyone else wants/needs to do it -
*where you installed it*>activision>cod 4 demo>players>profiles>*your user name*>config.cfg

It's all labelled like in the game, crack it open with wordpad, Ctrl-F and slap in r_mode, this is where you can set your resolution eg- "1680x1050" for me, everything else is set to auto, so you should get proper ratio/res. If you want to change other graphics stuff, then go digging, mine was set to highest everything by the game because of my oc'd cpu and my cupcake card. :P
