I couldn't see* any other thread nearby on this. Is anyone who's playing TQ getting stuttering/slowdown/random crashes to the desktop? I swept it, and I'm running it through a securom disabler thing called asr, I also have pr0tst0p hiding my virtual drives, however the internet is awash with legit types who have the same/similar problems. I've fettled all kinds, new drivers for sound card/gpu, tried hardware/sound card acceleration levels, running it at shitty specs (which should not be a problem with a cupcake card) nowt. There appears to be no 1 answer so has anyone experienced and sorted this rather rage inducing problem?

From what I've read (and I'm not sure this applies to the regular game as well or just the expansion)m but apparently someone on the team coded something that was supposed to improve performance, but instead it appears to have had the opposite effect. Said developer then left the company and no one really knows how to fix what the guy did. I've also heard that THQ is hindering the developer's efforts to fix it.

I had massive rage inducing episodes when I first played this game - it constantly crashed and took my internet connection with it. Then I changed my anti-virus software, and worked fine.

Try running it with your anti-virus switched off and see if it makes a difference.

Rubber banding, it's been called by the community. Game slows down and speeds up from time to time. Apparently you can fix it by using up virtual memory or something. I've tried looking in to it, but whenever I've seen it mentioned, it's never been given any explaination.
