Well? Personally, the only egg style meal I enjoy without ketchup is a boiled egg/soldier combo.

Well I'm no huge fan of ketchup, but I usually have BBQ sauce with eggs/omelettes etc. Salt and pepper is a must though.

That said, I often get a weird craving for an omelette, and then about halfway through eating it I feel like I don't actually like it. I have no idea why this happens.

Egg sarnies need ketchup.

Ketchup on any other egg food product is usually optional.

I couldn't see myself ever doing the BBQ sauce thing with eggs, but salt and pepper are a pretty staple part of any egg based meal.

Narp. If I have me a banjo sandwich, its generally got some form of salt/pepper, or if its all sauced up, its a hp sauce, old skool hp or fruity hp. But never, ever ketchup, I personally find that grease and ketchup do not go, the hp tang cuts through grease.

Speaking of tasty sarnies, what you want is bse, bacon-sausage-egg, bit of salt and pepper for tastiness, then enough hp to bring a different taste, but not so much you drown the other flavours.

About 2 years ago, I devloped a dislike for all kinds of potato, for no apparent reason. I found all types, mashed, new, baked etc etc to be intensely boring and inedible. I have no shortage of things to do with a potato, they are after all incredibly versatile, plus I've spent a very long time as a chef/watching food programmes/trying new recipies. But whatever I did, from curly fries with chip spice via champ mash with sausages to cracked new potato with cajun spice or deep fried skins with creme fraiche and salsa verdi to the humble baked potato, it all bored me intensely and I couldn't finsh a single dish. I'm fine now, I enjoy all types of potato again, I can't figure why I came to hate them, and I can't remember when I decided I liked them again.

I'm talking egg sandwiches, scrambled egg on toast, french toast, egg on toast etc. Apparently me and a lot of my friends/family are sick, sick puppies.

If the egg is on a hamburger, then yes. Egg with anything else, no.

Who cares if its got ketchup on it if its got some BACON?

Ketchup goes well with fried egg, and I don't really countenance egg in any other form, except possibly pickled. Still, an egg-only sandwich seems a very lonely proposition, being free of any bacon or sausage.

HP sauce, like ketchup is too often applied far too liberally, so I avoid it unless I can apply it myself in small quantities. I find the maker's assertion that it is universally popular in Britain offensive.
