Self-Help, Motivational, Meaning of Life Clues?
Not quite "entertainment" but any suggestions for some simple read or a website to change my views of hating everything or not caring about anything?
I'm sure a better job with more $$$ and better health would be an upper...but I can't seem to care about doing those things.
I guess I'm in a depressive state...and I'm trying to get out of it. Alcohol just doesn't seem to work anymore.
Of course I'm looking for a quick fix...but, alas...I'm sure it has to be the the job thing and health...
meh

Cut it down to 1 pizza a month, progressively cut your games down to 20/week.
Walk to your local library once or twice a week and read some self-help books
But don't take everything they say in those books too seriously.
Most of the authors are probably pretentious pricks :p

Desiderata is a good pick-me-up:
Desiderata
Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons,
they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain and bitter;
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs;
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself.
Especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love;
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment
it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.

Do not worry about the 'why', sometimes you can't see the reason while you're there (you can't see the woods because the trees are in the way) so you have to get out before you can see why.
There might not even be a reason.
Switch the computer, Internet and TV off, unless it's for work.
Go for walks in green areas
Go out with friends, give old ones a ring.
Find out what makes you happy.
If you want to change job, do it for love, not money.
Once your mood lifts some, then you can look at why. Not before.
Only you can help yourself when you're ready too. Others can only point in the general direction.

I'd say this is a really good suggestion.
My personal favourite is bike rides; mainly cos I love my bike, and air rushing against my face clears it a bit. But generally just do something different; give yourself a mini adventure, try something you never would've done before.

Yes...thats why i'm in a depressive state of mind...I'm just stuck at why I should care...all my life i've been caring about helping others...now that I want to help myself...I don't seem to care and don't know why I should. I don't have any views or goals of a better life for me.
But, I'm just gonna skip over all that and just go for the exercise bit. Hopefully that will clear my head or atleast unclog it a bit...find something to get me going again...

To be honest (as someone who gets into similar states a few times a year)
The people who suggested you fuck off out and do stuff are completely right.
If you think about it too much, it'll consume you, before you know it you'll have hair covering one of your eyes and the same do as soloman.
Ride bikes, run around, do stuff than consumes your mind enough to stop it eating your soul (I kinda like ship simulator 2008 for this, seems to work nicely)
And if all else fails, wank, watch movies and sleep lots.

Indeed, some exercise is very good therapy. It encourages your body to produce substances which help stabilise your moods and generally make you feel better about yourself. You don't have to really push yourself either, just do something easy to start you off. And make sure it's something that gives you some enjoyment otherwise you wont stick with it.

Indeed.
If you really want to loose wieght grab a reasonable bike with slick-ish tires and suspension (if it has some) locked out, find a flat road with very little intersections, cycle HARD, repeat 'till you puke, go home, eat nothing for an hour but drink gallons of water, then eat well, sleep well, start again the next day. Feels horrible, but after a week you start enjoying it, when you have lost a reasonable amount of wieght, stop. After a a couple weeks of this you'll have lost wieght/ gained muscle mass and you will feel really rather nice.
EDIT*

This as well, my advice is of a harsh nature, but gains good results, feel free to go at your own pace, but try to push yourself a bit.
