Proper game scheduling has arrived!
Add your own events, or take part in other people's events.. it's all pretty simple really.
It should be reasonably stable and secure, but there's most likely some problems with it, as it's quite roughly cobbled together.
Features to come include server password requests, and other notification if the game you're taking part in gets deleted.
Enjoy it, and get playing!

UPDATE
Slight teething problem with the board redirect script. Should all work now though.

5cheduler v2
• Clearer information.
• Comments system to keep game setup conversations in one place and to keep the board a bit tidier.

Now we have the 5cheduler comments, should we turn off the game announcements in the discussion board?
I ask as there have been a number of games where some people post comments in the 5cheduler, and others post comments on the discussion board.
Personally I think we should turn off the game announcements in the discussion board to avoid confusion, but what do the rest of you think?
The discussion board is still a good place for posting random threads, images etc... but I don't think it should be used for discussing game setup any more

Even for general trash talking?

Hmm.. this is a tough cookie..
I would say keep both, but if you have something important to say about the game, say it in the 5cheduler.
But if you want to make sure your comment is read, post it in both perhaps?

Ive got to say, shiney as the discusssion board is, I really dont see the point in keeping it.
If you want to make comments on a game, you can do that in the 5cheduler
If you want to make random comments/verbally abuse people etc, then surely thats what the forum is for?
The discussion board was brought in so that we had some way of chatting with everyone to set up games, but now the 5cheduler does that, its kind of redundant.
As it is, people are posting stuff in one, or the other, or possibly both and it runs the risk of people missing bits. I say keep everything together.
The discussion boards served its time, and should now be put into retirement, if you ask me.

I've just found out what the discussion board is, sorry, i thought you meant the general part of the forum.
I have changed my opinon, we should get rid of it, looks pointless :/

I quite like the Discussion board (~!~) but if game info is on the scheduler, (the most sensible place for it) then it may well become redundant.
How about replacing it with a (now this may be impossible!!!...) game calendar for the month, showing the games on and the ones you've signed up for in nice easy to view package.
Although this sounds like the impossible land of PHP hell to me.

... and you could put in personal items or announcements that you can choose to make visable to all, like game release dates, or if an admin is on holiday or something.
Edit: And have game groups so that if you are in say the CounterStrike Group you see relevent game dates for that but not for Call of Duty if you dont play it.
I think I'm getting a bit carried away!

Hmm. Special dates, yes, but I don't think there's any need for us to schd.. sorry.. 5chedule our holidays is there? Unless you're planning some kind of revolution.

Would be easy enough to let people felcher the results according to what they wanted to see. I don't like the idea of groups.. it could stop people trying new games... thoughts?

Yes, you are. Keep it coming :D

You're right. (about which one I'm not telling

)

Cool, this was my thinking behind the groups idea, so you can choose to not see certain things, i guess signing up for a game indicates interest in it!
Keep it coming :D
 Obvious one: You click the entry for the game and go to the 5cheduler page for it.
 The entries in the calendar are the game icons from the front page.
 When you have joined a game it shows up different from non-joined ones, with a green border or flashy cycling neon colours.
 If its a UO clan match and we lose, the icon changes to a sad face and plays a loud 'LOSER!' sound every time you mouse over
 Every day has an RSS weather feed so you can see what the conditions for play will be like.
 If it's your birthday it automatically posts you a lolly and a card.
