I will be updating the site a lot more with news and information, as opposed to within the forum, so please change your bookmarks/favourites to point to 5punk.co.uk as opposed to 5punk.co.uk/phpbb/.

News on the forum, or news on the site?

It seems that having it on both is confusing matters, and I could always (as previously suggested) have the ABOUT page on the main index, instead of any NEWS

I think regular news on the front page is important because it shows less regular/new visitors that the site is busy and active.

how about a 'news in brief' bit that shows say the 3 newst items to the main page somewhere on the forum?

maybe a news forum that dumps itself to the frontpage might work? that means the news goes to both places, and avoids having to manually edit the news page, which is a class A pain in the arse.

but this would mean (if it isnt already) making this section so that only mods can create new posts here, else the frontpage would be full of 'NEWS FLASH: CASHY HAS BIGGOR COCKS'

Yeah good plan berk. Front page news lifted from the news forum, and also, make the links at the bottom clearer to get into the forum. they arent where people would expect to find a navbar.
Then regulars can go straigt to forum without missing news, and new visitors see activity and info
