Your computer now has more megabytes than it can handle I reckon, technically speaking.

a) how the fuck did windows fuckup nuke data?? or was something else going on.

b) Dont worry, now you can use up your newly freed space with more porn!

Damn, although I'm guessing, like anything of mine that isn't backed up in at least 3 locations - it's all out there on the internets...somewhere.

If it was just porn or music, 5punkers could have helped you out by reenacting/singing it for you.

a) Was expanding the array, the loss of windows seemed to make it lose its progress and data.

b) this is true.

Yup, the biggest loss will be every good eats episode and dvd. (which, narf was probably about 400gb of the stuff lost anyway)

Well, good news there if you don't mind low res.

I favour a DOS or Win95 boot disk when reconfiguring hardware arrays, letting it sit there with no "clever" driver interference, just doing it's stuff as fast as it can.

In other news, how can I tell this pesky upgraded browser (Flock 0.9.0.2, based on Firefox 2.0.0.6) that I have an immeasurably better idea than it does of whether I am spelling words correctly? Grammar checker, use, I could, maybe...

Indeed, but 18+ hours to expand array = berk go crazy using badly setup spare machine.
