How do I purchase Day Of Defeat : Source?

by Woo Elephant Yeah
I bought my copy of Half-Life 2 on DVD, and not through Steam.
My question is however, how the fuck do I order a copy of Day Of Defeat : Source online through Steam???
I've been trawling through the Valve/Steam sites, and can't for the life of me find out how to order the bloody thing!
Once more, why haven't Valve made a website for Day Of Defeat : Source yet, so that gamers know what's going on???
It seems that Valve/Steam seem to be incapable of doing things in a straight forward and simple way, as I only wanna find out when it's likely to be released, and how to buy the fucking thing.

you'll be able to buy it through steam when it's available to order/preorder
until then, you can't, they're also putting stuff in place so people can upgrade their HL2 packages

Berk's right. Also, it's good to remember that Steam is still young and still being worked on heavily - It's a good little app at what it currently does, but it's far from finished.

Valve are their own boss, they have the luxury of releasing something when they feel that it's ready to be released. Apparently, one of the largest waits is down to them rebuilding every single DoD map from the original version as a straight port would have pissed everyone off (See also: Half Life: Source).
Would you rather them rush the release and have a knackered and virtually unplayable DoD now (See also: Battlefield 2) or work on it some more and have a mostly un-knackered and mostly playable one a little later (See also: Half Life 2)?

Let me get this right.
Day Of Defeat : Source is a reworked version of the original Day Of Defeat game using the source engine???
Isn't it a brand new game with new levels, maps, modes?
I played DOD just to see what the orginal was like, and I thought I liked it a bit, but when it uses the Source engine and it's reworked with new stuff, then I'll get the game.
If however it's just a source version of the original game with nothing new about it, I will avoid it with a barge pole.
/confused

It would appear to be a reworking at first, just like Counter-Strike: Source, but there are mumblings about new stuff being added down the line.

Bit and pieces from all over the place, really... A lot of it was from reading PC Gamer at the supermarket while waiting for people to buy a kettle.

if you bought HL2 bronze (or the retail addddition) yup, you'll probably pay $10-15 upgrade, if you bought silver, you'll get it for free.
if you bought gold, i'll sell you DoD:S for only £120

I belive you just need to pay the difference between the bronze and silver package.
